Tournaments

BATS conducts ten tennis tournaments each year from January through October at various local venues. These have included: Sunnyvale Tennis Center, Cuesta Tennis Center in Mountain View, University Club in Palo Alto, Menlo Circus Club in Atherton, Alpine Hills Tennis Club in Portola Valley.  The formats are set by the BATS Tournament Director (TD) and are primarily mixed pairs doubles. Tournaments with a fee of $15 are normally four rounds of approximately 30 minutes each.

 

Courtside snacks are provided for tournaments from April through October.  Players are responsible for their own courtside drinks.  Tournament prizes are awarded at the BATS dinners which follow each tournament.  When tournaments are cancelled because of inclement weather the dinners are usually still held.
